Baby, it's cold outside

Corn – deployed
Tommytoes – 2/3 deployed
Cucumber – Very Cross with This Weather
Peas – 1/2 soaking, 1/2 timidly sending out tendrils
Potatoes – deployment in T-minus 6 days.
Broccoli – may not have survived the On To Ottawa Trek week
Spinach – is it supposed to be that floppy and yellow? Oh dear.
Strawberries – most succumbed to Arsehole Cat Syndrome. Some survived. Deployed in fancy bukkits for the moment.

So…so I was just wondering. You know, Saskatchewan, I’m not sure if you’ve heard this yet; it’s been in all the papers, but some don’t read the papers, I suppose…anyway, here’s the thing: it’s June now. Remember June? June, when the weather stops feeling like April? June, when it’s warm enough for flowers to bloom (Lilac). June, when it’s been a month since “Frost tonight” was in the forecast. June.

Remember our song?
Oh, the moon in June is a big balloon; makes you swoon, makes you croon…
