Agador Spartacus

Okay, here’s the thing. I hate wearing socks. I mean, I HATE wearing socks. They’re all clingy and they make your toes do weird things. I love MAKING socks, but hate wearing them. So.

Upon donning a pair of socks last evening in preparation for band (which is at the school, which insists on socks), I donned socks. Not a pair, but one on each foot.

Then, when making my way to the loo, I discovered that Socks are to me what shoes are to Agador Spartacus (played by Hank Azaria in The Birdcage) Loose your mind. Let the imagery flourish. I was prone.

Ha ha! I *love* socks. Love them in the way that shirts love sleeves, that birds love seed, that doggies love bones. Socks are awesome. I even have a yearly sock budget. It’s surprisingly large. I’m happy to take any socks that you’ve made that you hate. I promise to give them a good home.

I only ever make socks for people who can truly appreciate them. ie. Not for me. I’ve made mittens for myself, and shawls. And bears. But only two pairs of socks that I ended up giving away.

I love socks too. Like misscriss, I own a huge drawer full. I have favorite socks, socks for particular occasions & festive socks. I rarely go without socks, in part because I do not make heat and my feet are ice cubes but also because I don’t like sticky feet and bare feet are prone to getting sticky. I HATE sticky feet.
