Thus spake summer vacation: “eulogies”

Well, so far, my plan to stay in my jammies all day is kaiboshed. Mostly because I was uncomfortable in jammies. So I got dressed.

A little while ago, I wrote an eulogy for my friend the Rook. He got better. A couple of folks have requested this service. So. For the low-low price of a donation of your time, energy, or services to your favourite charity, I will write an eulogy for you, and I will post it here at the centre of the universe.

Just leave a comment letting me know which charity you chose, and I’ll whip something up by way of stuff I’d say at your funeral or seaside memorial service.

No! Get back in the jammies. I shall send you tips on collecting the coolest, most comfortable, and whimsical jammies if you wish. Actually I have more jammies than grown up clothes. Thus is the life of a freelancer :)

You know, I can only tolerate jammies for so long, really.
The HUMONGOUS BOSOMS start to hurt if I don’t wear an industrial-strength bra, and the sleeping bras just don’t cut it. And by the time I get my bra on, I might as well put a shirt…and once I’ve put a shirt, I might as well just keep going. Although to be fair, the shirt usually comes off during the summer.

Not sure if I require this service, but I was curious to hear your reaction to the fact that Book and Briar patch is closing, kinda figured there would be a rant to read…

      Nah, there’s no rant.

I’ve known the bad news for just over a month.

I think it’s sad, but I haven’t really any rants about it.

Anyone want to start up a bookstore co-op in Regina?

What might be involved in starting up a bookstore co-op? This has me suddenly on the edge of my seat.

      I have no idea.
Presumably, incorporation as a co-op, a sizable investment to cover start-up costs, a suitable location, and connexions with book publishers.

Well except for the investments that sounds like something totally doable.

Yeah, but that’s the kicker, right?
You can’t start up a business with zero to very little capital.

There would have to be enough to cover rent, renovations, inventory purchase, materials, staff, etc.. That stuff doesn’t come cheap.
